Prototyping Interactive Objects: Designing for the "Internet of Things" (IoT)

  • General Assembly Level 8, 33 Des Voeux Road Central Hong Kong Hong Kong (map)

Now that we can build anything, what should we build?

With over 26 billion sensors - of all shapes and sizes - to be produced globally by 2020, the Internet of Things (IoT) is poised to radically alter and reshape just about every facet of the modern economy.

The proliferation of prototyping frameworks and technologies means we now have the tools and equipment to create just about any product or service imaginable.
The question is not what can we build? but what should we build?

This is where Design Thinking steps in.

Join us for an intensive one-day workshop that takes you from idea to execution for your own Wearables or "Internet of Things" product or business idea.

Who this is for:
- The general public and anyone interested in design, wearables and ‘the internet of things’

What you'll learn:
- You’ll develop familiarity with the range and types of sensors and platforms available to prototype wearables & ‘Internet of Things’ devices.
- How to identify the most meaningful use-cases for your wearables or IoT idea.
- How to de-risk execution by identifying the most crucial feature-sets and the easiest path to development & prototyping

How much will this cost?
$390HKD for the full day with early-bird tickets priced at $340HKD. Please pay for your ticket in advance through eventbrite.

How many can attend?
